Great location and free wi-fi, but poor food and unkempt rooms.

Charming stay with some hiccups
Had a decent 2-night stay. The staff were really friendly and welcomed me nicely. The bar area was cozy, and the food from their restaurant was pretty good. the shower situation was a bit rough. No grab rail or soap dish. Some mold, yikes! But overall, the charm of the place won me over.

missingWrote a review on Dec 13friendly staffclean bathroomdirty roombroken tvlimited breakfast options
Arriving to find the room poorly prepared was disappointing – a window propped open with a glass tumbler and no towels or toilet paper on arrival. While the friendly staff tried to assist, it was overshadowed by the lack of cleanliness, with dust everywhere and broken amenities like the TV. Breakfast lacked variety, with no fresh fruit or yogurt, and cheap sausages that didn’t meet expectations.

staying here for our honeymoon exceeded our expectations. the room was quite spacious and boasted a lovely view of the sea, making it perfect for relaxation. breakfast was delicious, with freshly baked pastries and locally sourced ingredients.
bathroom was missing basic toiletries.

the staff were really friendly and the location is good. the building has a lot of character too. my bed was comfy and i had a surprisingly good sleep. the beer garden outside is lovely and perfect for sitting after a long walk on the beach.
however, the room was really dirty with tons of rubbish under the beds and the tv didn’t work at all. the overall condition of the place needs a serious upgrade.

The staff were incredibly welcoming right from the start they even helped carry our bags to the room. The breakfast was included and it was really good—proper full English served hot and quick.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive but worth it for the experience.

I had a pleasant stay enjoying the cozy atmosphere, though the room cleanliness left much to be desired. The location near the beach offered a charming experience, paired with friendly staff who made me feel welcome.

would come again
The staff were really friendly, and the beer garden outside is perfect for relaxing after a long walk on the beach. The double room was spacious with a comfy bed and a clean private bathroom. It had an electric kettle, flat-screen TV, and free toiletries. Location is excellent, only a short walk to the beach.

The family room was spacious, perfect for our two kids. We loved the proximity to the beach and the delightful village shops nearby. The kids enjoyed running around and exploring thoroughly, which gave us some lovely moments together.
My kids wished there was more breakfast variety for families. It would be great to have fresh fruits and juice available.

The property has lots of character.
The room's carpet was in desperate need of replacement. The bar and dining areas were uninviting and felt empty. Menu options were limited, making dining options less appealing.

The local dining scene is where Schooner truly shines! You’ve got Scott's for lovely seafood just a hop away, followed by a hearty burger at The Red Lion Inn that’ll leave you singing its praises. The staff were super friendly, which made our one night with them feel a bit more like a cozy home than a hotel.
